The walking tour lasts approximately between 2 and 2.5 hours, depending on the group. The walking distance is 3km (1.9mi).

The tour starts at Aussichtsplattform Kurplatz, a small public pier on the lakeside promenade at Kurplatz / Nationalquai.
It is located in front of the Music Pavillon at the lake. The closest bus stop is Luzernerhof, just a short walk away.

How difficult is the walk?
The tour takes place at a normal walking pace. However, the route includes some uphill sections, stairs, and uneven surfaces typical of Lucerne’s old town. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Total walking distance: 3km (1.9mi).
What happens if it rains?
The tour takes place in all weather conditions, including rain or snow. Lucerne can actually be very atmospheric in bad weather, and the old town is often quieter.
In rare cases of official weather warnings or conditions that may affect safety, the tour may be cancelled at the discretion of the guide.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start are not eligible for a refund.
If the tour has to be cancelled by us due to severe weather, operational reasons, or other circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Yes. Children under 10 can join free of charge when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

It is located in front of the Music Pavillon. The closest bus stop is Luzernerhof.
If you arrive early, Bachmann Bakery is right next to the Luzernerhof bus stop, where you can grab a takeaway coffee, croissant, or the famous Schoggibrötli (chocolate bun) before the tour.
