Is this tour suitable if it’s my first time in Lucerne?

Yes. Many guests join this walk at the start of their stay. The tour gives you an overview of the city, explains how Lucerne fits into Switzerland, and helps you understand what you’re seeing during the rest of your visit.

The walking tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group and questions along the way.

The tour takes place at a relaxed pace. However, the route includes some uphill sections, stairs, and uneven surfaces typical of Lucerne’s old town. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

The tour takes place in all weather conditions, including rain or snow. Lucerne can actually be very atmospheric in bad weather, and the old town is often quieter.

In rare cases of official weather warnings or conditions that may affect safety, the tour may be cancelled at the discretion of the guide.

You can cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour start are not eligible for a refund.

Public tours require a minimum of 5 paying participants. If the minimum number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the tour. In that case, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule. In this case, we will notify participants at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

Yes. Children under 13 can join free of charge when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please mention the number of children during booking so the group size can be managed.
